MOQ, Quotes & Payment

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

For products that need new tooling, MOQ is typically 3,000–10,000 units, depending on complexity. Re-orders on existing molds can start from a lower quantity.

What do you need for a quote, and how fast will I get it?

For an accurate quote, please send 3D files (STP/IGS/STEP), 2D drawings, a BOM, Pantone color references and your expected quantity (EAU).

Once the files are complete, our engineering team quotes tooling cost and unit price within 24–48 hours. Quotes can include or exclude packaging (color box/blister) and are given on FOB or EXW terms.

What are your payment terms?

Tooling is paid 100% upfront. Mass production is paid by T/T: 30% deposit, with the 70% balance due before shipment, after the goods pass QC.

Flexible payment terms can be negotiated for long-term clients with a good credit record.

How do re-orders work?

We keep your molds in rust-proof, moisture-proof storage, so re-orders can be activated quickly. Re-order MOQs are lower than for new tooling, and we run a production optimization review on each order.

Tooling & Molds

How is tooling cost determined?

Tooling cost depends on part complexity, steel grade and the number of cavities, so we quote it individually after reviewing your 3D files.

As a guide, we use S136 steel for high-polish or transparent parts and NAK80/718H for standard ABS parts, on LKM mold bases. We recommend 1x2/1x4 cavity molds for runs under 100K units and 1x8/1x16 hot-runner molds for million-unit programs. A mold rebate is available when a volume target is met (e.g. 100K units).

Who owns the molds?

You do — molds are 100% client-owned. We build private tooling in-house, and molds are never shared with other customers or factories.

Between orders we store them rust-proof and moisture-proof, and they can be transferred at any time with 2D/3D drawings and rust-proof packaging. S136 molds carry a 300K–500K shot life guarantee, with free lifetime maintenance (cleaning, rust prevention, pin replacement).

Samples & Lead Times

Can I check a prototype before the mold is made?

Yes. SLA 3D-printed or CNC functional prototypes are available before tooling. We also provide a DFM report covering gate location, ejector marks, parting lines, sink marks and draft angles, and our in-house structural engineers can modify and optimize your 3D files.

What is the lead time for T1 samples?

T1 samples typically take 25–45 working days from the start of tooling; simple molds can be ready in as little as 20 days. You receive a weekly tooling progress report, and 2–3 rounds of modifications within the DFM scope are included free of charge.

How does sample approval work?

Color matching starts from your Pantone C references: we produce 3–5 color chip samples for sign-off under a D65 standard light box.

A signed Golden Sample is required before mass production, and boundary samples define the acceptable quality limits. We then run a 300–500-unit pilot run and submit a Pilot Run Report before mass production is approved.

How long does mass production take?

Production itself typically takes 2–4 weeks depending on volume, followed by about 1 week for QC and testing and 1–2 weeks for packaging and shipping preparation. We confirm the exact schedule in the quotation.

Orders placed in the off-peak season (January–August) move fastest. Even in the Q3/Christmas peak, 46 injection machines running 24/7 let us handle rush orders of 50K+ units.

Quality & Certifications

Which factory certifications do you hold?

Audit records and certificate copies for ISO 9001, ICTI and BSCI are available on request. We have Disney FAMA audit experience, and are an NBCUniversal approved supplier (factory-audit waiver granted 2014), producing Universal Studios Japan (USJ) theme-park merchandise since 2018.

Which safety standards can your products meet?

Depending on the destination market, we produce to EN71 (EU), ASTM F963 and CPSIA (US), CE, FCC, REACH, RoHS and the ST Mark (Japan). Testing is done through third-party labs including SGS, Intertek (ITS), Bureau Veritas (BV) and CMA.

Food-contact products such as popcorn buckets use food-grade PP/PE compliant with FDA requirements and Japan's Food Sanitation Act.

How do you control quality?

In-process inspection (IPQC) runs every 2 hours, and every unit gets a 100% visual and functional final inspection. Our AQL standard is Level II (Major 2.5 / Minor 4.0).

Third-party inspections (SGS, V-Trust, AsiaInspection), on-site client QA and DUPRO inspections are all welcome. Any deviation triggers a CAPA, and defective units are crushed immediately.

Materials & Scope

Which materials do you work with?

ABS, PVC (on dedicated anti-corrosion screw machines), SAN resin, food-grade PP/PE, silicone/TPE and die-cast metal. Surface finishing covers UV printing, pad printing, spray painting and hand painting, and LED/electronic assembly is done in our cleanroom.

Do you make plush or fabric toys?

No. We are a plastic injection molding factory and do not make plush/stuffed toys, fabric toys or sewn products. If you are developing character merchandise, we can propose a plastic or vinyl (PVC) figure version instead.

Shipping & Logistics

Which shipping terms (Incoterms) do you offer?

We ship FOB Shenzhen/Hong Kong or EXW. Export documents include the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin (COO) and FAMA documentation where required.

Do you handle packaging, labeling and pre-shipment inspection?

Yes. Packaging is drop- and vibration-tested to ISTA 1A/2A to survive around 30 days of ocean freight. We apply EAN/UPC barcodes, SKU labels, Amazon FBA FNSKU labels and warning labels, and palletize with corner protectors and stretch wrap.

Third-party final random inspection (FRI) by SGS, Intertek or QIMA is supported.

IP Protection, Audits & Communication

Will you sign an NDA, and how is our IP protected?

Yes. We sign an NDA/NNN agreement (non-disclosure, non-use, non-circumvention) before receiving your files.

Sensitive IP is produced on isolated lines with 24/7 CCTV, and personal cameras are not allowed on the floor. Defective units, sprues and runners are crushed immediately in a dedicated recycling room, so nothing reaches a secondary market.

Can we audit or visit the factory?

Yes. Our facility is kept audit-ready for ISO, ICTI, BSCI and Disney FAMA at all times, and we regularly host inspections by major IP licensors and third-party auditors.

To arrange a factory visit, on-site QA or a DUPRO inspection, please contact us through the contact page.

Which languages can we use to communicate?

This website is available in five languages (Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Spanish and Korean), and the AI consultant on the site answers in the language you write in — including Japanese — on MOQ, certifications, processes and more. Inquiries sent through the contact form receive a reply within 1–2 business days.
